An article in today’s Daily Mail might, you’d think, make us feel rather disheartened. It talks of how a major study has found that probiotic drinks have no health benefits at all, despite the market being worth almost £20 billion around the world.

The study finds that for six out of the seven liquids trialed there was no difference between gut bacteria for those who took the probiotics or the placebo. Six out of seven. Not particularly positive news.

However, Symprove is an exception and we believe in our product. But don’t just take our word for it.

It’s not merely our gut feeling that we are onto something good. Reinforcing our belief is fifteen years of working with the NHS under our belts, but also importantly strong research backing us, including the UCL trial mentioned in the article. In that, Symprove was the sole probiotic (from eight tested) to pass three challenges – to arrive where it should, survive long enough to work, and thrive in the target area.

We hope our customers feel we are the ‘exception to the rule’ too.
