10 Questions with... Adrienne Herbert

Hi Adrienne, tell us about you and your work…

I am a wellness coach, author & podcast host. I help people to perform at their best in work and life by considering all aspects of physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. I’m also a brand advisor, specialising in wellbeing, technology and innovation.

How did you hear about Symprove and how long have you been taking it?

Symprove was recommended to me years ago by a good friend and I’ve been taking it pretty consistently ever since. Initially I was looking for a way to support my gut health alongside trying to eat a balanced diet. I have a busy schedule, kids, work, and I run endurance events, so I face the same challenges as everyone else when it comes to managing and maintaining a balanced lifestyle. Taking Symprove as part of my morning routine alongside a few other daily habits has made a noticeable difference to my overall energy and mood.

What motivated you to get involved with Symprove?

As a wellbeing coach, I understand all of the things required to perform at my best. I know it’s not about one product or one habit, it’s a combination and a sum of many repeated behaviours that will determine the outcome. Adding Symprove into my morning routine is a simple and easy thing to do each day that has a very positive impact on my overall health and wellbeing. Plus the more I learn about Symprove, the more I love the product, the team and the brand.

What does your morning routine look like?

My morning routine is my Power Hour! I use the first hour of each day to focus on just one thing - free from distraction and interruption. Some days it’s running or Pilates, some days it’s reading or writing. What I spend the time doing may change but the discipline and practice remains the same. 60 minutes of focused time is all it takes to set the tone for the day ahead.

Where did your interest in gut health start?

I host a weekly podcast (Power Hour) and I’ve interviewed hundreds of high performing people, from doctors and psychologists to athletes and business founders. Many of the health experts I have interviewed talked about the importance of good gut health and the link between gut health and performance. Improving the health of our gut microbiome can improve other things such as cognitive function, energy management and hormone health too.

Top tips for looking after physical health?

When it comes to physical health my top tip is to walk outside every single day, whatever the weather! It sounds so simple, but I can't overstate the benefits of walking and movement enough. Our bodies are made to move, yet so many of us are becoming more sedentary than ever before. Daily movement will improve just about every other health outcome. It can improve the quality of our sleep, help to regulate our appetite, increase creativity and boost our mood. Get your body moving!

And your mental health?

Prioritise relationships and connection to others. Whatever you’re doing will have more meaning and be much more rewarding if you’re doing it with others. Spend time generously talking and listening to other people and meet with them as often as you can. Digital connection is good but it is a limited experience.

Why should people care about Symprove?

Our bodies are incredibly complex, so many things need to happen in order to keep us in balance and in good health. Symprove makes it simple to take care of your gut health. Instead of focusing on cutting things out, I encourage people to consider which good things they can add in instead!
