10 Questions with... Annie Price

Hi Annie, tell us about you and your work…
Gladly! I was one of those sporty kids that loved doing gymnastics, athletics and the conditioning that comes with competitive sports. Second to that it’s always been important to look after myself, including mind and body. I guess it would be coined as self-care, though I certainly wouldn't have called it that then. Exercise and progression were the sweet spot for me and so no shock that I'm now an online coach specialising in wellbeing and lifestyle. Client goal centric, so weight loss and building strength, though it’s more about creating a lifestyle you want to show up for long term. I love it.

How did you hear about Symprove and how long have you been taking it?
One of my clients, Oliver, originally introduced me to Symprove. He’d been using it successfully for a while and so I tried it for myself. I've had a lot of issues through the years and wanted some extra support keeping everything ticking over as I'd like.

What motivated you to get involved with Symprove?
As a coach, I'm someone who finds the dynamics of behaviour, changes, habits and how I can get my clients and myself the most efficient, lasting results. I know it's less about the fast challenges and quick fixes, and more about creating consistent change that compounds over time. A water-based supplement fits in well with this for me and is easy to remember to take each morning.

What does your morning routine look like?

  • 70ml Symprove shot
  • Coffee
  • Short workout and/or walk - best thinking time!
  • Deep focused work first

Where did your interest in gut health start?
Years ago. I used to find the relationship between gut health, skin, mood, and output fascinating. My skin, stomach and mood could be delicate when I was younger doing all the things early 20 somethings tended to do: late nights, crazy food, drinking. When I looked after myself by introducing fermented foods, good sleep, and a supplement, life seemed to feel calmer, because I was.

Top tips for looking after physical health?
Mindset first and foremost. Health comes from the inside out. Diet is a lifestyle, please drop the quick fix mentality. Perfection not only doesn’t exist, but it doesn’t need to. Once you realise those 3-4 meals or dropped workout won’t set you back it allows you to create consistency. A new lifestyle is built off peaks and troughs. You are never ‘off the wagon’ it's all a zig zag.

Second to this, once you allow yourself to try and take some messy steps forward you will see it's action that creates the motivation not the other way around. It really is a wonderful adventure.

And your mental health?
As above! There isn’t a beginning or an end to this. Walking outside in fresh air does as much for my heart as it does for my head. Creating space to think. Whether they're right, wrong, helpful or not, it allows me to separate myself from those thoughts that aren't necessarily true. Exercise teaches us our behaviour matters.

Why should people care about Symprove?
It supports your gut, is easy to remember to take, is kind to the stomach. I say this often, starting the day with a positive creates momentum for the rest of the day to be positive.

Original, Mango & Passion Fruit or Strawberry & Raspberry?
Mango & Passion Fruit for sure.

Sip, slurp, shot or swig from the bottle?
Both from the cup and swig from the bottle. Depends on my mood ;)

Describe Symprove in 3 words…
Convenient, simple, caring.

Thanks Annie!
