In a recent survey we found that just over 1 in 4 had either cancelled a holiday abroad and/or been concerned about going on past holidays abroad due to gut health or general concerns about using the toilets.

The survey, conducted by Atomik Research, showed that of those who had cancelled a holiday abroad, the average amount of times they had done this over gut health or general toilet concerns was 9 times.

Why? Well just over 1 in 2 (51%) mentioned at least one time they had been nervous about using the toilets on holidays abroad with concerns over the conditions of the toilet, followed by worries about holiday poo. That’s backed up by 26% (around 1 in 4) saying they had avoided going to the toilet abroad due to embarrassment or fear of what their experience was going to be like.

That’s before we throw in the embarrassment 35% said they’d feel about pooing on holiday with a new or current partner.

We don’t want you to have a shitty holiday, so we’ve asked our team of in-house experts to share their tips and tricks on how to best support your gut on holiday as well as their expert advice on how to poo on holiday.

Here’s to having the holiday of a lifetime, with more time by the pool and less time in the loo.
